About Lynne Baker

Lynne was accepted to train at the prestigious Rene Guinot salon in Paris at the age of 16 but parental pressure to find a "proper" job put paid to that dream and she trained as a Registered General Nurse instead! 

Over the following years she trained in Aromatherapy, massage, and many aspects of beauty therapy while working in the IT industry.  Finally in a position to realise her dream Lynne opened her boutique salon, Calla, in March 2008 having built up a solid base of private Aromatherapy clients.  She has worked with the world's best educators including Amanda Fontanarrosa - Creative Nail Design Educator Ambassador of the Year, and Andy Rouillard - Ambassador for Perron Rigot.  She is now highly sought after for her unrivalled facial care, and features regularly in magazines such as US Vogue and Berkshire Life.

About Calla Salon

Based in the beautiful village of Kingsclere on the Hampshire/Berkshire border midway between Newbury and Basingstoke we are ideally located to serve a large area.  We can offer appointments from 9am until 8pm Monday to Saturday.  Sunday appointments are available to private clients only.

NB: If you are using a SATNAV please ensure that you enter the road name "Basingstoke Road", otherwise you will be taken to Garden Close!

From Basingstoke

Take the A339 North towards Newbury

After six miles, take the slip road on the left to Kingsclere and follow the road into the village.  As you pass the entrance to the George & Horn pub car park on your right, turn left into "The Dell", then immediately left again into the first driveway, Calla Salon.

From Newbury

Take the A339 South towards Basingstoke.

At the roundabout signposted Kingsclere to the right go straight over. Take the next right into Kingsclere.  Follow the road until it bears sharply right, with the George & Horn pub on the left.  Turn left here then immediately right into "The Dell".

The first driveway on the left is Calla Salon.

From Whitchurch

Leave Whitchurch on the Newbury road signposted to Kingsclere.

After 3/4 mile take a right signposted to Kingsclere.  Follow this road until you reach Kingsclere.   At the T junction by the church turn right. Follow the road until it bears sharply  left with the George & Horn pub ahead.  Take the road to the right of the pub them immediately turn right into "The Dell".  The first driveway on the left is Calla Salon.
